At the most recent meeting of local R.E.M.E. Association Mr. John W. Clement was presented with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal by Major C. Prince in recognition of his Regular Army Service, service with the T.A., TAVR, also his service with the South West Durham Branch R.E.M.E. Association as Vice Chairman and Standard Bearer.
He is pictured here with his comrades wearing his headdress. Meetings are held at the Scout Hall Headquarters on the last Wednesday of the month at 8.00pm and we are always ready to welcome new members from ex R.E.M.E., Regulars, T.A or TAVR living on the Town or not, so come along and join our ranks.
