Dear Sir,

I read Counc. Warburton’s letter and was appalled at the arrognace shown by Phil Wilson our MP claiming he brought Hitachi to Aycliffe.

It was Hitachi who made the final choice as the Aycliffe infrastructure was ideal for their operation.

I then read that one of our most popular Councillors, Enid Paylor, has been rejected by the Labour Party. I understand she was coherced by Phil Wilson to join Labour and has now been chucked aside like garbage for new candidates in the West Ward who have no experience.

I urge Enid to look at the situation and stand again as Labour do not have a “walk-in” at West Ward and when people realise what Labour has done who would want to vote for them?
