Visitors to Locomotion, Shildon, will be invited to reminisce on the power of steam, thanks to a stunning solo art exhibition by Yorkshire-based artist Chris Pulham.
‘Railways on Canvas: The Art of Chris Pulham’ will be on display in the museum’s Collection Building from August 19 to September 30, 2018.
Part of Locomotion’s Steam Season, this exhibition is the culmination of seven years of work by Chris, featuring paintings which are sure to bring back memories from the glorious days of steam on Britain’s railways.
Chris has a life-long passion for steam locomotives, and her paintings are inspired by her early memories and, more recently, visits to heritage and preserved railways and railway museums throughout the North of England.
