This week final preparations for “Quercus Live” took place at Greenfield Arts. Dancers, musicians and performers filled the area outside of Greenfield Arts with the sound of music and performance on Tuesday afternoon for a run through of this tremendous event, coming to the Great Aycliffe Show later this month.
“Quercus Live” will be the grand finale event for this year’s Great Aycliffe Show 2014 – highlighting the hard work of the local community over the past few months who have been developing and creating the performance elements. This sensational finale event will mark the end of the current format of the Great Aycliffe Show, and will look forward to next year’s festival, celebrating more of this creative community involvement.
The King of the Boggles has given Newton Aycliffe a gift, so come along to “Quercus Live” to find out what happens next! Local young people, dancers, musicians and families have been creating work that will be showcased during this celebration of live music, dance, circus and visual arts.
Greenfield Arts are proud to be developing and managing the project with the support of the Town Council and Great Aycliffe and Middridge Area Action Partnership. Join us for the FREE performance of “Quercus Live” on Sunday 24th August, at 3pm in The Arena at the Great Aycliffe Show (School Aycliffe Lane) to celebrate all of the wonderful work of the community who have been involved!
