PWS, market-leading kitchen distributor and bespoke worksurface manufacturer, is celebrating after scooping two awards in two weeks, in recognition of its manufacturing expertise and contribution to the local economy. At the North East Business Awards, PWS Worksurfaces received the Manufacturing Award for the Durham, South Tyneside and Sunderland region. Facing strong competition, including Siemens Ltd, the application process was stringent.
Once shortlisted, three judges visited all finalists, and PWS Worksurfaces’ team – representatives from across the business with Jeremy Redshaw, Head of manufacturing holding the North East Business Manufacturing Award spent an afternoon in PWS’ Worksurfaces factory and Design Centre, to fully appreciate and endorse the application. The North East Business Awards take place across three regions, so PWS Worksurfaces will now go forward to the North East Area Awards event at the end of April.

The company’s second accolade is the Company Of The Year, at the recent Make Your Mark Awards. With over 250 companies operating from Aycliffe Business Park, this award honours the impact and contribution PWS makes to the local Durham economy.
