Following the Teams meeting, Mr Paul Howell MP and I had with Fornax last Tuesday, two new Teams meetings have been arranged: one for School Aycliffe residents and the second for Heighington, Chestnuts and Oaklands residents.

Teams Session 1 – Monday 14th June at 7.30pm

Teams Session 2 – Tuesday 15 June at 7.30pm

Chair: Paul Howell MP

Ward Councillors: Gerald Lee (Con) and Paul Crudass (Con)

Residents: x 12

Fornax: Mark Roberts (Fornax Chair and Founder), Amanda Gair (environmental specialist) and James Blakey (advisor)

Paul Howell and Aycliffe Councillors have asked for 12 residents from School Aycliffe to take part in Mondays Teams meeting.

The meeting will take place on webinar, which means that everyone can join the meeting to hear the questions being put to Fornax and their answers, but will not be able to be involved.

MP Paul Howeel is planning to hold two sessions, the first session will be aimed at residents in the Durham County Council area and some of these ward councillors will also be attending. The second event will be aimed at residents in the Darlington Borough Council area.

There will be the opportunity for the Fornax team to answer questions, however these can only be questions regarding their plant. Questions about the consultation and planning process for example would have to be directed to council planning officers.

The people present to answer questions will include Mark Roberts the Founder and Chair of Fornax and Dr Amanda Gair an air quality specialist.
