Over the past week we have been joined by two classes from local Primary Schools at Greenfield Arts.
Aycliffe Village Primary Year 6 joined us last week for a guided tour of all the sculptures we have on site and currently in our gallery. The group were really well behaved and came up with some great insights and ideas about our sculptures! They are working with Mrs Clifford on sculptures for their sensory garden – even making their own tools to carve with – we look forward to seeing their progress soon!
Class 2 from St Joseph’s RC Primary joined us for a gallery tour and workshop on Monday, investigating the current exhibition by Phoenix Art Group. They spent time searching the exhibition carefully and considering the artworks. Afterwards they made their own folded and printed books with our Gallery Assistant, on the Great Fire of London. The group were very well behaved and creative with their illustrations.
We would like to thank both schools for their visits; we hope they enjoyed their time with us as much as we did, and look forward to more opportunities to work together in the future!
