The free annual event Stanley Fireworks will return this Sunday 6th November 2022. The popular community event which is attended by thousands every year, will this year feature a spectacular fireworks display, set to music in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
There will be a whole host of entertainment for all the family with DJ/compere Keith Martin and soloist Alex Hall entertaining the crowd before the display begins. There will also be children’s funfair rides, food vendors, sweets and hot drinks and a fully licensed bar.
Alex Hall, a local singer from Sunderland, is looking forward to performing on stage, he said: ‘I am so excited to be performing at Stanley Fireworks Display. It will be an incredible experience to entertain a large crowd. It is great that we are again able to have the big scale events that bring communities and people together. Thank you to the team at Stanley Events Ltd. for giving me the opportunity to perform on such a fun filled and lively occasion.’
Stanley Fireworks is supported by funding from Stanley Town Council and Stanley Events. Entry to the event is free. The event takes place on Sunday 6th November 2022 at Oakey Park, Stanley and starts at 5pm with the display beginning at 7pm.
