Armed robbers threatened a couple in their own home
Three masked robbers entered a property in High Street, Eldon Lane at around 5.30pm on 10th December, armed with a machete before making off with cash, jewellery, cigarettes and Christmas presents.
Detective Sergeant Gareth Hodgson from Darlington CID, said: “The robbers assaulted one of the homeowners and made threats of extreme violence. They conducted an untidy search of the house before making off with a significant amount of property. Thankfully the victims were not seriously injured during this ordeal however they were left terrified and shocked.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact DS 618 Gareth Hodgson at Bishop Auckland CID on 101.
