Play Cafe’s banner had a first airing on Monday at the pop-up Café event, hosted at Woodham Village Community Centre. 30 people enjoyed pizza and salad followed by fresh fruit and ice cream. Children found friends there that they didn’t expect, and that always makes play a pleasure for them.
David Sutton-Lloyd enlightened us by showing us how to digitally peel away a person’s T-shirt and skin to reveal the workings of our bodies beneath! Ah the wonders of technology and the mobile phone! After David’s short presentation about defibrillators on the town, family members and volunteers are signing up to undertake a course on their use.
Thank you to David and centre staff for the hire of a lovely venue. Everyone enjoyed their day with you at Woodham.
Play Café is supported by Tesco, County Durham Foodbank, GAMP funding from our seven County Councillors, Big Club and the Rotary Club.
