Planet Leisure kicked off its FREE music nights off with a rocking Saturday night. Headlining the night was Aycliffe’s own “The Unsound”, www.TheUnsound.co.uk, took to the stage and as usual they couldn’t help rocking the venue with their mix of popular rock songs and own songs. The Unsound went on to play a gig in Newcastle the next day, well done to the Aycliffe based band for breaking into the Newcastle music scene.
Debutant “DJ Cal”, a great up and coming DJ from Aycliffe, was playing a mix of songs and kept the night together. Soloist / Guitarist / Songwriter “Gemma Abley”, www.facebook.com/gemmaableymusic, known for her great sets in the local circuit also produced yet another set, keep it up Gemma. I am sure all three will be invited back next year to perform again.
Next up for a FREE music gig on Saturday 19th Oct, “Feed The Bear” a great band from Sunderland, who rarely play this far down the county. Also “The White Vinyl”, another good young Aycliffe band, who are getting a lot of invites to play all over County Durham. So make Saturday night 19th upstairs at Planet Leisure a date in your calendar.
