Dear Sir,
I worry about people walking their dogs in the field close to Bates Close and I wish to issue a warning.
Last Tuesday afternoon 23rd April I joined my sister to take her dog for a walk on this field when from nowhere an old Staffie dog appeared and attacked her dog which was on a lead. The owner did nothing to stop this attack!
This was very upsetting and due to the injuries sustained her dog had to be put to sleep.Life is so unfair to lose a much loved family pet to an animal which is obviously unsafe and should have been on a lead under the control of the owner.
A kind man did stop to help my sister with her dog and we are grateful.However others walking their dogs in this area should be aware of an irresponisble dog owner who uses this field to exercise his dog without a lead.
