Susanne McKerr has been in the care profession for more than 24 years. Her last position was Deputy Manager for Age UK. She decided to start her own business to offer more care and companionship than a large care company could.
All care provided is personalized to the individual’s needs and is changed on a regular basis as required. Care can range from personal care, bathing assistance, house work, doing the shopping, assisting the customer to go shopping, assisting the customer to go to the doctors etc, sitting service allowing family members to go out, assisting with preparing meals etc.
“I strongly believe that all my customers are individual and care is assessed only on what that customer requires.” said Susanne.
Care can be delivered on a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. I get to know the customer well and vice versa. Close friendships are formed creating more trust and reassurance for the customer.
Susanne has many companions within outside agencies, so if the time comes when the customer requires extra help or she feels more help is needed (e.g. equipment to aid mobility or help that cannot be provided) then after discussion with the customer she contacts these agencies to request their involvement.
Susanne boasts many qualifications and is police checked with full public liability insurance. Scrubba Dubb charges an hourly rate which is paid on each visit and a receipt given. Invoices can be issued fortnightly/monthly for payment. Scrubba Dubb can be employed using the Direct Payments Scheme.
