A Cream Tea in a Café was the perfect setting to say ‘Thank You’ to Val Fawcett, a founder member and retiring trustee of the PLAY CAFÉ project. Val helped set up the local charity which addresses the issues of possible holiday hunger and social isolation in the long school holidays. Val is pictured on the right with Kath, another Play Café trustee.
Feet up for Val?
Certainly not, as she will now have the time needed for her other charitable work, organising the AARMS Group which meets in the town. A major fundraising event for AARMS is to be held on Tuesday 10th September, 7.00pm in The Phoenix Club. It is a Spiritual / Medium night and tickets are £5, available on the door that night or in advance from Love Thy Cupcake, Aycliffe Framers and The Phoenix Club.
Val and her hard working team of volunteers have gathered some great raffle prizes and tombola items. So get your ticket to say, ‘keep up the good work Val’!
