The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) is an award-winning North East charity whose mission is ‘Health, Well-being and Learning for All’. We are currently seeking a motivated and focused selfstarter to join our successful team as Summer Camp Assistants (6 posts). Location is in West Ward, Newton Aycliffe and/or Tudhoe. Salary: Band 2, Point 13, £16,823 pro rata. 20 hours per week; Monday – Thursday 9.30 – 14.30. Fixed Term Contract: 5 weeks from 24th July to 25th August. (ideally applicants should be available to work the whole of this period). Job Purpose: To support and provide interesting and stimulating activities for children age 8 -11 on healthy living with a particular focus on healthy eating, in support of a Northumbria University research study.
Key tasks:
• To work as part of a team, to support and deliver interactive activities over a four week period.
• To engage with and deliver activities to children and families that are fun and promote healthy eating and lifestyle
. • To facilitate sessions and to assist in providing support and guidance to children to enable their participation.
• To support the Northumbria University research study with focus groups for children and parents
Key skills required:
• Sound basic education
• Experience of working with children
• Good communication skills
• Creative and adaptable
