The Pioneering Care Centre will be refurbished in February 2016, including completely replacing the striking Mall floor that has been admired for over sixteen years.
The Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe has been open for 17 years in January 2016, providing a valuable resource and healthy living centre for local people and helping services to be delivered in the community. As with any centre it is important to maintain the facilities to a high standard and therefore PCP’s Board have approved a refurbishment programme, including major works such as relaying the Mall floor.
Due to the extensive work being undertaken, the Centre will close for two weeks from Monday 15th February until Monday 29th February.
PCP apologises for any inconvenience that this may cause, but from a health and safety perspective it will be impossible for clients and the public to access the building during this period. The close down period has been kept to a minimum to cause as little disruption as possible and alternative arrangements to deliver support have been made where possible.
All members of the community are warmly invited to attend the launch party for the new refurbished Centre in early March, with a showcase of activities and services on offer. Further details will be announced in the Newton News shortly.
