Dear sir,
My article in Newton News (2 May) – ‘Looking to a Post-Covid Future’, discussing the (uncertain) opportunities and the (very real) dangers facing the County’s climate emergency response – has been published in Durham University Energy Institute’s journal: Perspectives.
This is, of course, a huge honour … but also an opportunity. As we stagger out of the crisis which is Covid, how do we sustain our ambition to make a green, carbon-neutral world? How do we retain the lessons of lockdown? What would a climate-aware recovery leap-forward look like? What realistically might we wish the County Council and the DEI to be doing?
