After the successful opening for this year’s “Open Art” exhibition we have continued to have lots of visitors to the Gallery here at Greenfield Arts!
Years 2, 3 and 4 from Aycliffe Village Primary School visited us recently, working with our Gallery Assistant to explore painting and drawing, including painting with palette knives, a puffy paint experiment and drawing with a rubber!
Next week Year 1 from St Joseph’s Primary school will visit the Gallery to see the fantastic exhibition and spend some time painting with us! We are pleased to be able to offer local schools the opportunity to visit the gallery and use it to inspire their creativity!
As part of the workshops with these local young people we created self-portraits, inspired by the many portraits in this year’s exhibition. We are also offering this creative opportunity to young people and families as part of our Easter Holiday programme. For more information about our holiday programme or the gallery visit our website www.greenfield-arts.co.uk.
