Bryan Haldane sadly passed away on 9th September after a short illness. Bryan who was aged 60 years and will be fondly remembered as the Town Centre Manager of Newton Aycliffe.
Bryan was a loving Dad to Paul and a dear Father-in-Law to Steph; special Grandad to Isabella; a dear Brother and a special friend to Jean and Alan.
The Funeral Service took place on Wednesday 25th September at 3.45pm at Darlington Crematorium.
Bryan was manager of the Aycliffe Town Centre for nearly 20 years and was very proud of the town and the shops he had come to work alongside and represent.
The town centre was awarded as the winner of the BCSC most improved centre refurbishment under £5 million category in 2014 and was shortlisted for the RICS commercial award (north east) in 2015 to which Bryan was very proud of.
Bryan worked tirelessly with local organisations, charities and the police and had recently partnered with Aycliffe Radio to help with the promotion of the town centre. This included the organising of the Live Music Festival for the last two years, the Xmas Celebrations, Fairgrounds, Emergency Services Day, Beamish Museum’s 1950s Display, a Cop Shop for police and numerous other initiatives which all helped promote the town centre and the shops in it.
