The Christmas Services in all of our Care and Nursing Homes on our town begin in early December. The Parish of Great Aycliffe’s Pastoral team visits each home offering residents their Christmas Communion and to join them in singing Carols.
This is always a very moving and humbling time for all. If you are reading this and have a relative in any of our homes, please feel free to join us on the dates following this notice.
You are warmly welcomed to come to one or ALL of our Services as some residents have no family and it is really helpful if we have someone to sit and help them through the service. It would be lovely to see some new faces, so please think about this as your own Christmas present to our elderly who have done so much through their lives and are so often forgotten. All of the services begin at 11.00am in every home, and they are:
Monday 4th December, Rose Lodge near Cobblers Hall.
Wednesday 6th December, Lindisfarne, Silverdale Place.
Friday 8th December, Woodham Grange along Burn Lane at the bottom of the bank entrance through metal gates.
Monday 11th December, Aycliffe Home in Horndale area.
Wednesday 13th December, St. Clare’s Court on Central Avenue.
Friday 15th December, Defoe Care Home, just off Hardinge Road/Defoe Crescent.
Monday 18th December, Bethany Home and Day Centre, in the hall next to home by Woodham Green.
