Gary Shaw (51) was born in Newton Aycliffe and attended Woodham Comprehensive. He is a Football Coach for Newton Aycliffe Junior Football Club under 10’s where his son Curtis plays.
Gary is a Manager for Sliderobes, who supply and sell bespoke sliding door wardrobes. His Glasgow branch was selected to attend the Queen’s Garden Party on Tuesday 1st April at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh.
Gary currently manages the Stockton, Glasgow and Edinburgh sites so he received the invitation. His wife Sharon will be accompanying him on the visit, and her Grandparents attended Buckingham Palace in 1971 as Mayor and Mayoress of Gateshead.
“It is a great honour to attend and something I can tell my grandchildren about when they are older” said Gary.
