Steve Wood, of Cobblers Hall took part in the Great North Run on Sunday, raising money for Cancer Research UK, running the whole 13.1 miles on rough, very wet roads barefoot!
His official time was an amazing 1hr:55min and this included stopping half way to do a pre-arranged interview for BBC TV (although they didn’t show it!)
Steve’s mother in law was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer earlier this year and Steve made a deal with her, if she put herself through chemotherapy, and stayed strong, he would do the Great North Run Barefoot
He is still looking for sponsors to reach his target of £500, any donations would be really appreciated, so that we can help find a cure for Cancer
