Newtonian Daniel Worsley (22), after only taking up Powerlifting 18 months ago, has been selected to represent Great Britain.
The former Greenfield student recently competed in the European Championships in Estonia and returned with four gold medals including two gold.
He currently holds the English record for the U83kg category and the British Deadlift record.
Daniel who is employed as a Transport Planner is in training at the ‘Be Inspired’ Gym on the Business Park for the World Championships in Texas in June. Newton News on behalf of his home town wish him every success.
