Congratulations to Emma Dunn who passed her 2nd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo this weekend. The promotion comes after 5 years of training with local club Kim Chung Do Kwan. Emma started training for health reasons following a sports injury in 2012, since then she has gone from strength to strength within the Martial Art. Since taking her 1st black belt 2 years ago, Emma has trained as a traditional Martial Arts Instructor and runs the under 10’s class at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on a Tuesday night. Her Instructor Master Hannah Hatfield said “Emma is an extremely dedicated student who has overcome many challenges to reach this achievement. We hope she will continue to inspire the students to follow in her footsteps as a Martial Artist”.
The grading showcased a very high level of understanding and was caught on camera by Aycliffe photographer Ryan Dunn, who has lent his talents to Kim Chung Do Kwan on a number of occasions. We would like to thank Ryan for capturing this shot of Emma in action. For anyone interested in practising the REAL Martial Art please contact Master Hannah on 07775 333 168 or email kimchungdo@gmail.com Alternatively check our website www.kimchungdo.uk.
