Dear Sir,
Losing your hearing can be so isolating, meeting with others facing similar challenges can really help. Newton Aycliffe Deaf Fellowship meet on the fourth Tuesday each month at St. Elizabeth’s Church, St. Elizabeth’s Close, Woodham, DL5 4UE.
What do we do?
From 5.30pm we have a short Service of Worship based around a short film clip which is signed throughout. We have a BSL signer present on the evening too.
Afterwards, at 6pm, we have food, lots of chatter, spoken audibly and signed, and a good bit of laughter. We enjoy a game of bingo and a raffle.
It is a simple way of making friends and breaking through the barriers and sense of isolation that hearing loss brings with it.
Did I mention it is free?
We would love to see you there; you are very welcome!
Reverend Ann
