This month marks the third anniversary since Hall Construction took over Woodham Golf and Leisure Limited and they say the Company could not have done this without the constant support from golf members and the local community in Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas. Director Neville Hall said “It hasn’t been easy coming from a non-golfing background into a place where golf makes the world go round and everyday really is a school day but we’re progressing with our knowledge of the sport, understanding of grasses and fertilizers and even learning the language of our golfers”. Last month was the end of a 3 year relationship with our Bar & Restaurant Tenants Mandy and John, who left after devoting many hours offering food and drink therapy after a rubbish game, ushering out hot masses of sizzling meals and bringing life back to our clubhouse facilities. “I hope that all our visitors and members will agree with us that these two individuals have wholeheartedly helped put Woodham Golf Club back on the map in County Durham – Thank you for the last 3 years, we really could not have done it without you. The Club has appointed a new Bar & Restaurant Tenant, Margaret Allen, already a well known face within the clubhouse and has taken over! It was the smoothest of transitions with no changes to the day to day running of the clubhouse or staff.
All previously booked events, weddings, golf parties and food related events will be continuing as normal. Neville added: “We wish Margaret all the luck in the world and are very happy to welcome her to the forefront of our Woodham Golf & Country Club family!” The NEW opening times during the Summer season for the clubhouse are as follows: Monday – Thursday 8.00am-10.00pm Friday – Saturday 8.00am-Midnight Sunday 8.00am-10.30pm”
