Greenfield Arts are busy preparing for the next exhibition in the Gallery. On Thursday 4th July “Abode” an exhibition of Artist’s books and printmaking will open to the public. The exhibition provides an opportunity for the work created by local young people and families to go on display in two different areas. Books made during the “Book bound” project, which has been on display at the Baltic in Gateshead returns home to Greenfield for the exhibition, and work created during half term workshops by families will form part of a large display of small scale prints.
We are pleased to be able to show the work of local artists and members of the community alongside more established touring exhibitions and artists, there are some very talented young people and families in the area who should be proud of the work they have made! Also in the exhibition is “The Sunderland Book Project” a touring exhibition of Artists Books co-ordinated by Theresa Easton, and “Special Edition” a display of printed artworks and artists books, all the theme of home and place all created in an edition of at least 3.
This fantastic exhibition, open from Thursday 4th July until Thursday 25th July will be worth a visit! For more information visit www.greenfield-arts.co.uk
