Lifestyle Fitness at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre are holding a series of events to celebrate the prelaunch of their new facilities and equipment.
Lifestyle Fitness which is a real asset to Newton Aycliffe and already has an extensive range of equipment and well qualified staff is now undergoing something of a re-fit. Plans have been drawn up for the introduction of new functional training equipment, improvements to the layout, decoration and changing rooms.
Kendra Hulbert pictured who is spearheading the refit said “I have been working in the fitness industry nearly all of my career and I always thought the facility in Newton Aycliffe was one of the best I have seen anywhere but I was asked to help design a new layout with new equipment. I think the results will be well worth the investment we have put in”
Work has been underway for two weeks now and things are really starting to take shape. This week the functional training equipment is due to arrive and already the ground floor has been opened up with the removal of partition walling. Soon the changing rooms will undergo something of a refurbishment and a new lifting platform and E-Spinners will be in place.
To celebrate they have organised a series of events aimed at encouraging more people to come along and get re-acquainted with fitness. On the 29th an open event will take place. In attendance, as well as Lifestyle’s own instructors and trainers, will be Slawek Kochan from Vitamin Shop in Darlington, Julie Baxter from Herbal Life, David Hopwood Sports Massage, Kerry Smith from Forever and Up and Running from Darlington who will all be giving away free products and tasters on an evening in which Mark Travis DJ will be providing the motivational tunes. Use of the facilities will also be free for everyone to try on the evening but it is likely to be very popular so Lifestyle Fitness would ask that people inform them of the time they wish to visit.
