The Pioneering Care Centre recently opened up their Community Computer Suite to the public; a free of charge suite equip with 9 laptops, 8 iPads and a projector for individual and group learning. The Community Computer Suite is generously funded by Great Aycliffe and Middridge AAP.
There are three upcoming courses free for anyone aged 19 or over to join;
‘Digital Age Awareness’, is a 9 hour course that can be taken over two or three sessions. Participants will learn the basics of how to use a computer – such as attachments to emails, online shopping, how to copy & paste text and images etc.
The ‘Building Emotional Resilience’ course begins Monday 4th June from 10.00 – 13.15 over a four week period. Participants will become a more confident and positive version on themselves by learning to identify self-strengths and weaknesses, how to manage stress and anxiety and find ways to block out negative emotions.
‘Be Active, Feel Healthy’ begins Friday 8th June from 9.00 – 12.45 over a four week period. Participants will learn all about different fats and sugars, gain confidence in managing long-term physical health and take part in a health walk.
