On Saturday 9 February, the Sixth Form Centre at New College Durham is opening its doors to students who are interested in studying A-Levels at the College.
The Open Day, which takes place in the main building at the Framwellgate Moor Campus from 10.00am until 12 noon, is a fantastic opportunity for prospective students to explore the College’s range of A-Level subjects, meet staff and students and take part in exciting demonstrations and interactive activities.
During the event, students can discuss the details of each subject with lecturers, enjoy a tour of the Sixth Form Centre and the College and chat with current students. Parents are also welcome to attend to find out about the distinctive package of support offered to A-Level students.
Jane Ives, Head of Sixth Form at New College Durham, said: “Open Days are always an exciting event for us, giving people interested in studying A-Levels the chance to come along and find out more about the Sixth Form Centre and what we do. We look forward to getting to know new students and parents and answering any questions they have on the day”.
The Sixth Form Centre is one of the largest in County Durham and has a reputation for success; this summer A-Level students achieved a fantastic 100% pass rate in 19 subjects (Summer 2018 results). The centre’s students regularly progress to Russell Group universities including Durham, Newcastle and York.
