Local Newton Aycliffe resident and entrepreneur Angela Clark, launches A1 Advans. Thanks to the GAMP AAP’s flagship ‘Step into Business’ scheme.
Angela spotted a niche in the advertising market, and has now successfully made her vision a reality. Thanks to lots of hard work and planning Angela is now running A1 Advans, a quirky vehicle, which aims to provide affordable advertising to local businesses. Back in June last year Angela met South Durham Enterprise Agency’s Business Adviser, Lynne Groves. Lynne provided her with guidance on developing her idea and informed her of the “Step Into Business ‘ grant scheme which was vital to enable her to complete her idea. Thanks to the Area Action Partnership and South Durham Enterprise Agency Angela’s business went live at the end of 2013.
Angela commented: “After developing my business as much as I could I found myself becoming stuck, and unable to complete what I had started. So I searched for inspiration and I came across South Durham Enterprise Agency.   My business adviser, Lynne Groves informed me of the GAMP scheme, which was music to my ears. Thanks to the scheme, I was able to buy and add all the finishing touches to my vehicle, such as the van livery and the van tracker and even a website. After adding the final touches I was able to scoop myself a very beneficial contact with Cooper BMW Durham ”
Angela is now running her fully-fledged business in and around the Newton Aycliffe area advertising local businesses along side targeted advertising, so look out for the quirky little white van. Any business interested in advertising on the van can contact Angela on:  07792 427404
