Hi everyone, here’s a brief update of what has been happening over the past week:
On Sunday night a male was arrested on suspicion of affray and was transported to custody.
Operation Trailblazer patrols have been carried out in parts of town which have been identified as hotspots for Anti-Social Behaviour. A number of youths have been engaged with during these patrols.
On Tuesday, PCSO Fotheringham attended Aycliffe Radio to speak about local policing.
On Wednesday, PCSO’s attended the Community Action Team’s walkabout in the Western area, engaging with our local partner agencies in the process.
On Friday, a male was arrested on suspicion of assault & assaulting a police constable, following an incident in Kirkstone Place. The male was later charged with five offences.
Also on Friday, a female was arrested for failing to stop after a road accident and for driving whilst intoxicated. She was later charged for these offences and will appear at court.
A prolific shoplifter was arrested on Saturday for a number of offences.
On Sunday morning, a male was arrested for causing criminal damage to a number of buildings in the town, including the Fire Station and the Magistrates Court, and for assaulting a police constable.
Also on Sunday, a male was issued with a Child Abduction Warning Notice.
