The Neighbourhood & Response teams working out of Newton Aycliffe have been busy responding to a variety of incidents across the area over the past week, here’s a brief update of what has been going on:
On Monday afternoon, a male was arrested for being Drunk and Disorderly and was transported to custody.
On Monday evening, a male was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
On Tuesday, a male was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident and was transported to custody to be interviewed.
On Tuesday, officers attended St. Oswald’s Pre School alongside police dogs Jet & Ben. The children had a chat about police dogs and had the chance to try on some police uniform.
On Wednesday, members of the Neighbourhood Team attended Byerley Park Primary School to speak to students in years 5 and 6. The children received our talks on Internet Safety, Crime & Consequences, Anti-Social Behaviour and Bullying.
On Thursday, a male was arrested on suspicion of assault, following a domestic incident.
On Friday, a female was arrested in the town centre for a public order offence. She was then transported to custody and appeared at Magistrates Court the following day.
On Friday night, a male was arrested following a domestic related incident and transported to custody.
On Saturday night, a male was arrested following criminal damage to a dwelling.
Further Operation Trailblazer patrols have been conducted around areas which have been identified as hotspots for Anti-Social Behaviour.
