Here is your weekly update from PC Bram Booth on behalf of the Newton Aycliffe Policing Team.
It’s been a busy last couple of weeks for the team, especially with it being the summer leave period. We have continued to target those that are responsible for Anti-Social Behaviour in the area by carrying patrols in the affected areas.
I would like to appeal to the parents of young people to make sure you know where your children are and what they are up to. We have had reports of youths causing problems at 5.00am in the morning which is far from acceptable.
In response to the fires that have been started in the vicinity of the town centre, four youths have been identified and to date, two have been interviewed in relation to arson.
Off road bikes are still causing annoyance and distress to local residents. We really need your help in identifying the riders of the bikes and where they are stored.
Information, including video footage, can be passed via crime stoppers or to our Facebook inbox.
‘Keep in the Know’? Is our online messaging service which makes you aware of what is happening in your local area. By signing up to this service, for free, you can find out what’s happening in your local area – receive regular crime updates, information on road closures and learn about what your local neighbourhood policing team is doing. You can decide what agencies you wish to receive messages off when you sign up to the service. Head over to:
