Great news, things are finally moving forward on the Great Aycliffe Neighbourhood Plan. Please keep reading – this is important for the future of your Town. The Town Council has appointed an officer, Miss Angela Corner, and work will commence in June on the community engagement stage of the Neighbourhood Plan.
The Neighbourhood Plan will help PLAN for things that are important to the residents and businesses of Great Aycliffe. It will become a statutory planning document that will steer future development of our neighbourhood areas.
We are looking for individuals to get involved throughout the whole process but next week we will be advertising for 2 members of the public to become part of the Steering Group that will be responsible for the overarching coordination of the plan.  Individuals should be aware there will be a time/work commitment needed for this project.  If you think you may be interested you can contact Chrissy Walton from the Town Council on 01325 300700 who can provide some background information.
