Employers and young people can find out more about the benefits of apprenticeships at two events being hosted by Northumbrian Water as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
The events on Monday, March 4, kick off a week of activity led by the Apprenticeships Ambassador Network North East and take place at Northumbrian Water’s offices in Pity Me, Durham.
Businesses that are actively involved with, and passionate about, apprenticeships will be sharing stories about their experiences at the first event, which takes place on the morning, from 8.15am to 10am. The aim is to help those companies that currently do not utilise apprenticeships to understand the benefits and find out more about how an apprentice can help them.
At the evening event, from 5pm to 7pm, young people and parents can hear from companies and apprentices, to help them understand more and decide if an apprenticeship is suitable for them.
Tracey Greener, Workforce Development Manager at Northumbrian Water, said: “National Apprenticeship Week is a great opportunity for employers, young people and parents alike to find out more about the value of apprenticeships. We’re really looking forward to working with the Apprenticeships Ambassador Network North East to help tell the stories of employers and apprentices, so that others can understand what it’s all about and how everyone can benefit.”
