Aycliffe started well and it was a very open and fast game which saw Boro take the lead. Shortly before half time we got it back to 1-1 after great moves, which beat the Boro offside trap and saw Thomas go through and finish well past the keeper from a tight angle.
At half time we changed formation and it really helped against a very strong, physical and vocal Boro side.
George, who was pushed into midfield for the second half, scored a screamer into the top corner, giving us a 2-1 lead. Then after more great work from Thomas, who worked so hard, set up Ethan to make it 3-1. The high pressure from Aycliffe was really working well as JJ got our 4th after winning the ball high up the pitch.
An excellent performance, both physically and mentally, to go a goal behind and then push on to score 4 past a very good team.
