14th December
Pontefract 1 v Newton Aycliffe 3
Newton Aycliffe managed to hold onto three points, in extraordinary circumstances, when Dean Thexton was sent off in the 55th minute. Aycliffe were already leading 2-1, courtesy of a Jake Petitjean brace. Despite the man disadvantage, Aycliffe made it 3-1 in the 62nd minute when Liam Jarvie pulled off a brilliant chip finish. The rest of the game was easily seen out by Aycliffe.

21st December
Newton Aycliffe 2 v Sheffield 2
A frustrating afternoon where Aycliffe failed to hold onto a 2-0 lead. The first half saw Cole Kiernan chip the Sheffield keeper, but Aycliffe struggled to produce much more after that. In the 80th minute Petitjean made it 2-0 from the penalty spot, but a change in conditions allowed Sheffield to capitalise on a sloppy piece of play from Aycliffe, the away side scored in a crowded box in the 89th minute and a long range shot in the 90th minute made this match a draw.

26th December
Dunston 2 v Newton Aycliffe 1
This game was similar to the last game Newton Aycliffe played at Dunston which was also on Boxing Day and also finished 2-1. A poor first half for Aycliffe gave them a 2-0 deficite going into the second half that Aycliffe could not conquer despite a Liam Adamson shot from outside the box in the 80th minute.

30th December
Newton Aycliffe 4 v Bishop Auckland 1
Newton Aycliffe taught Bishop Auckland a footballing lesson on the day before NYE. Petitjean kicked off the scoring for the home side in the 19th minute and Jack Clarkson made it 2-0 with a brilliant curling effort on the cusp of half time. The second half saw Petitjean claim a brace, all while Adamson would score at an outrageously tight possession on the wing to make it 4-0 with the Bishops goal a late consolation.

4th January
Emley 3 v Newton Aycliffe 0
A second half flurry of goals were the undoing for Aycliffe. All three Emley goals came within 17 minutes of each other in a game where several first team starters were missing.
