Appeal for Musicians
Our next musical evening at St. Michael’s will be on 28th November. Light refreshments will be available from 5pm with the evening proper beginning at 6pm. The services with a difference have been successful so far and now we are hoping to recruit more musicians. We are asking anyone who lives in the Heighington, School Aycliffe or Redworth area, who might like to join in, please get in touch with Ron at ronharrison60@gmail.com. The songs that have been voted as favourites so far are Because He Lives by Bill and Gloria Gaither, This Is Amazing Grace by Phil Wickham, I Saw The Light by Hank Williams and Hymn of Heaven by Phil Wickham. We will be playing them again on 28th November, with a couple of new ones which are yet to be decided. Perhaps readers would like to access YouTube and have a listen. Councillor Gerald Lee added ‘this is a joyous evening full of fun and laughter which is guaranteed to lift your spirits and leave you happier then when you arrived. To all who live in the parish, particularly those who may be a little awkward about coming to the church for the first time, switch off the telly and join us on the night. You will not be disappointed’.
