The Broken Hearts Festival in aid of British Heart Foundation in conjunction with Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre was a great success.
The nine bands came from all areas of the North East giving up their time and paying gigs to entertain a crowd of rock and metal enthusiasts. There was a friendly atmosphere, with a range of ages all enjoying the various styles and mixture of cover and original music.
All the bands who supported this event said they are willing to do the same again as they really enjoyed the venue, competitive bar prices and delicious food.
Newtonian, Brian Lockey, one of the organisers, said “The night went amazingly, and due to the positive feedback, we have decided The Broken Heart Festival will return on March 21st 2015 bigger and better”. The organisers are keen to express their thanks to all the fans and bands that supported the event, and to the Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre for providing the venue for free and putting on the food and bar
