A new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) was officially opened by the Mayor of Great Aycliffe, Councillor Mrs Mary Dalton, at Moore Lane Park on Wednesday 9th September 2015.
The MUGA is situated on half of the tarmac area at the park, which was previously used as tennis courts, and is suitable for a wide range of activities, including football and basketball.
Half of the funding for the MUGA was provided by Great Aycliffe Town Council, with the other half supplied by Durham County Council from funds from a previous planning Section 106 agreement.
