Five Acres had a special visitor recently, Paul Howell, the local MP for Sedgefield, called in to see our progress as Five Acres approaches its second birthday in May.
Paul met and mingled with the staff and Champions as he toured the centre at ROF59.
He showed great interest in what we have achieved in such a short time and was eager to see the nearly completed Horti Hub which was built with the use of a grant from the Happiness Hubs Fund (PCP).
This great new outdoor addition will be used for learning, planting and growing various flowers and vegetables to use in our Sensory Garden.
We are well underway with our Fund A Fence Campaign, we also received a cheque, presented by Alastair Waugh, the Well Being Lead from Gestamp, to help fund our new site at Lime Lane, Brafferton. Thank you gentlemen for visiting Five Acres.
