The STEAM MACHINE – Newton Aycliffe’s own craft brewery – is continuing to make its mark in the world of good beer. Their latest achievement is to be featured in BrewDog’s Newcastle Bar.
Nick Smith, one of the brewery’s founders said, “We couldn’t be happier at the moment. BrewDog is one of the top craft breweries in the UK, and their exclusive bars are famous for only selling the best of the best.”
STEAM MACHINE was selected from over Sixty Northern breweries to represent the area for a “North East Tap Takeover” along with two other craft breweries from around Newcastle. “On the bar is our NEW AGE BROWN, which has been very popular since its autumn launch, along with SAN FRANCISCAN STEAM – a craft alternative to mass-produced lagers.”
When asked about the continuing popularity of STEAM MACHINE Nick said: “We are in the very best craft beer bars of the North East now, including the popular Head Of Steam group, but we will always be proud that our modern beers are available in some great places locally.
To celebrate our local support we are hosting a pop-up bar event in Aycliffe Village Hall, featuring live music from the Jig Doctors, and local gourmet burgers with all the trimmings. People with tickets will be able sample our beers on craft keg – just like they can in BrewDog.”
