Since opening in September 2008, The Work Place at Newton Aycliffe has proved popular with both the business and education sectors, providing conference facilities and learning opportunities.
Due to increased business the car park has recently been extended to provide a further 50 overflow spaces to the rear of the building. This is great news and means the conference centre can accommodate larger conferences and events in future.
The Work Place is a perfect environment for conference, meeting and corporate events, providing comfortable, spacious accommodation including a lecture theatre, high spec pods and a relaxing refreshment area.
With a range of flexible room and catering options for up to 200 and in a good location with onsite parking and good public transport access, the centre is convenient for the whole of the North East. Please contact 01325-375900 or tracy.henderson@twpa.org.uk for more information or visit www.twpa.org.uk.
The Work Place also continues for offer training opportunities providing high quality courses to industry and individuals in:
First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety and Food Safety.
During the month of November Durham Fire & Rescue Services are delivering their annual Safety Carousel Event to approximately 5000 Year 6 pupils from across County Durham and Darlington. The pupils take part in a range of workshops including Electricity Safety, Gas Safety, River Safety, Internet Safety and Fire Safety. Some of the pupils were asked to help plant trees in the new parking area.
