Families searching for activities to keep the kids entertained over the school holidays are invited to experience a safari themed summer of fun at the Cornmill Shopping Centre in Darlington.
The special stay and play events taking place at the centre between 11am and 3pm on three consecutive Mondays in August (5th, 12th and 19th), are free and ideal for little ones.
Monday 5th August – Go Animal Crackers
Allow your little monkeys to go animal crackers with a wild themed safari hunt around the Cornmill Shopping Centre on Monday 5th August. Children will be able to make their own safari outfit, take part in an interactive ‘We’re Going on a Lion Hunt’ storytime and enjoy animal craft activities.
Mon 12th August – Meet the Gorillas
Meet two mountain gorillas and their comic intrepid explorer. Gaze in awe at the incredibly lifelike gorillas while learning all about the gorillas’ natural habitat.
Monday 19th August – Safari Science
What better way to enjoy the summer holidays than a nice cool science experiment as children can enjoy safari themed experiments including making rainbow bubble snakes and elephant toothpaste.
