Dear Sir,
I was saddened to see (again) the lovely trees bordering the footpath on the edge of the Cobblers Hall estate, adjoining the Area of Scientific Interest, parallel to Ashtree Close, suffering from mindless vandalism.
I’m not sure if the houses bordering the footpath have reported this damage, but can the police perhaps patrol the area more to try to deter the vandals? If this continues we’ll not have any trees left along the green border to the Cobbler’s Hall estate! Tree branches have been snapped off at intervals along this footpath for years – some have survived to become bigger trees, but it seems even their height isn’t stopping the vandals, and the damaged trees aren’t being replaced.
