Saturday 27th May at 11.00am till 2.30pm brings a great opportunity for everyone to visit the New Victoria Centre, Howden-le-Wear, Nr. Crook and see and hear the Mighty Wurlitzer in all it’s magnificence with wonderful sights and sounds to enjoy at the North East Theatre Organ Association’s Annual Fete. Also present to bring a continental atmosphere to the day will be Stuart Wright’s “Perlee” Street / Fairground Organ the same as you hear in the streets of Amsterdam or Paris. Stuart, a Funeral Director from Durham, takes an interest in a collection of Street Organs and sometimes his Perlee Organ is played at funerals he attends.
To give visitors greater pleasure there are Wurlitzer Tours, Plants, Cakes, Tombola, Teas, Games, CD’s and much more to make a great day out.
