Mental Health Week at Sugar Hill Primary culminated with the children coming into school last Friday in non-uniform and ‘expressing themselves’ through wearing their favourite clothes or wearing sports clothing or uniforms that they wear when they attend clubs and brownies. Children right across school from Nursery to Year 6 spent time completing activities and talking about their own emotional wellbeing and how we can all support each other. Making sure we find ways to share our thoughts and feelings is very high on our pastoral agenda here at Sugar Hill.
We are looking forward to working with Mental Health Colleagues after half term supporting parents and carers who have identified that they feel their children have fears, worries and anxiety. This is a new initiative at Sugar Hill and we are looking forward to providing this support to our families.
