Age UK County Durham’s award winning Come Eat Together project have launched an exciting new lunch for people over 50 in partnership with Oakleaf Sports Complex this month.
Meet, Play and Eat is an opportunity to meet new people, try an exciting new activity and enjoy a delicious lunch. Participants have already tried Arrows, a less strenuous form of Archery. Although tricky to begin with, there were a few bullseyes and plenty of laughs. This was followed by either fish and chips or sausage and mash in the warm and friendly bar.
Running on the first Friday of each month, all are welcome to come along for the affordable price £5.00.
Friday 6th November you can play classic table top games such as Dominoes, Shove Ha’Penny, Quoits and Bar Skittles. Other activities include Target Bowls, Table Tennis and Short Tennis.
Booking is essential, so for more details and to book please contact the Come Eat Together Team on 0191 374 6577 or email cet@ageukcountydurham.org.uk
Come Eat Together is funded by Big Lottery Silver Dreams.
