Budding young artists have been challenged by the Mayor of Great Aycliffe, Councillor John Clark, to design a new picture for the official 2018 Civic Christmas card.
The competition is open to all Aycliffe children and the theme is ‘Christmas in Aycliffe‘.
The winning entry will be used as the official Civic Christmas Card for 2018 plus the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will have their pictures framed and will also receive a gift voucher.
Please send your entries to the Council Offices, School Aycliffe Lane, Newton Aycliffe DL5 6QF before the closing date on Friday 9th November 2018.
Make sure that your name, age and a contact number are clearly written on the back of your picture. (This information will be used only for the purposes of the competition and will be deleted once the competition is ended. Please see our website for further information: www.great-aycliffe.gov.uk.)
The winners of the competition will be notified as soon as possible after the judging has taken place and they will be invited to attend an official presentation of prizes by the Mayor.
